Testing season stress?

Testing season is here for high-school and college students. This means cram courses, studying for hours, and lots of stress. Whether you are taking the ACT, SAT, final exams, or any mix of them, you are more than likely pouring countless hours into review. Continued below.

All this review and hype leading up to the tests that will make or break your grade, so it's more than normal to have slightly higher than normal stress. Now I'm a student too, so I know exactly how you all feel. All this stress really pulls you down, so what can you do to deal with it? Well, there are a slew of different methods for helping lessen your stress, and this is just one of those methods. Of course you always hear your parents, teachers, and other guides tell you to get your sleep and have a good meal before the test, and this cannot be more true. You may think that studying until 5 AM is more important than sleeping, but this is not always true. I've found from experience and research that students who only briefly review the material then go to sleep at a reasonably early time actually fare better than the ones who study all night long. It makes sense really, because if you don't already know the information, you cannot learn it effectively in a single night before the test. To deal with the stress of studying, try just stopping for a few minutes, have a nice cold glass of water, go outside, and take some deep breaths of fresh air. Doing that will probably help you clear your mind and relax. If you are taking the test and find yourself stressed out, you can just pause, drink some water (if you are allowed to), breath, and skip the questions that you don't know and go back and do them when you finish the easy ones. While some stress is good for you and will help you focus, too much stress is never beneficial. You can also try taking supplements to reduce stress, like the LTheanine capsules, available through Amazon, that I have mentioned before. Managing stress is important to do when it comes to taking and studying for tests.
