A Little Futurism Concept

I have a concept. Imagine you can go home after a long day of work, lie down on your bed, and melt into a world so different from your own. Continued below.
After lying down on your bed, you take your phone out of your pocket, plug it in, then strap it into your brand-new virtual reality headset and watch your favorite movie or play a game that entirely surrounds you.

Who wouldn't like this? I know I would.

This would be awesome, but what makes it even better is that this can be you if you buy the Samsung Gear VR - Virtual Reality Headset for only $98 USD. Back when I got my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge (not sponsored mentioning this phone, I just personally really like it) the Gear VR cost around $150 USD. Seeing as that I just dumped nearly a grand on a new phone, I wasn't ready to give them more money. Now that it's been out for many months though, the price has gone down significantly.

$100 USD too expensive for a technology you might not like? Well, Amazon also carries the Akally 3D VR Headset Glasses Virtual Reality Mobile Phone 3D Movies for iPhone 6s/6 Plus/6/5S/5C/5 Samsung Galaxy S5/S6/Note4/Note5 & Other 4.7"-6.0" Cellphones for a low $20 USD. This is the one I will be buying, seeing as that I have had not terrible experiences with Chinese exports. Usually I am wary of this kind of thing with a ridiculously long title and poor translation. And I still am in this situation. However, I personally have not had any issues yet, other than a smart watch I bought for $20 USD. There is a story here.

So back a few months ago, I bought a cheap, generic smart watch from my good friend Amazon. Now before it would sync with my phone, I had to install an app that was not on the Google Play Store. Thankfully, the box that the watch came in contained a manual in all Chinese without any English on it. The one thing I did manage to get out of that manual was that the watch had a built in app that only displayed a single QR code. We feeling sketchy yet? It gets better. Cautiously, I scanned the code with my phone and it brought me to a website which my antivirus immediately stopped the connection to and told me that it was a virus even before it was fully loaded. From what I could see, there were ads plastered all over the website, saying things like "Your Android Smart Phone Is Infected" and generic fake warnings like that. Needless to say I didn't proceed any further and just put the thing on my desk as a joke. It was pretty good technology wise for the price, but I don't think it was worth it for the security risks.

However, with hardware items like this I have not had any major issues so far. From what I have read, the original Samsung Gear VR is much higher quality, but at a higher price.
